82.8V charger for lithium ion?

For daily charging, I charge to 4.14V-4.15V per cell. That comes to 82.8V-83V for 20S. I noticed that some lead acid battery chargers charge to 82.8V. They do constant current>constant voltage>floating. I assume that the latter means that if the resting voltage drops below 82.8V, the charger would kick back on/off until it settles at an 82.8V resting voltage, but that's just a guess.

What would be the concerns with using this "lead acid" charger on a 20S lithium ion pack? This one is smaller than my current charger, so could fit in my rack bag, and I wouldn't need to open it up to adjust it, like with a 20S charger.

My concerns with it would be that some lead acid chargers spike to high voltage mode to desulfate. Also looks like the float portion of that charger's cycle is at a lower voltage than full.

I think you can find a similarly priced lithium charger.

I wouldn't get a lead acid charger because the way it finishes the charge is different.

I haven't messed with cheaper options but it looks like a cycle satiator will handle that kind of voltage.

You can always buy an adjustable charger on Aliexpress.
I have bought a adjustable 2-15A 40-88V charger, it is of decent qualtiy.
The fan is a little noisy, but it stays cool. The wires could be longer.

Can't argue with having the same price. Since it's Amazon, I could return it if I find the voltage can't be adjusted. I'm going to search more for something smaller. It looks like I'd need to go to 5A to get one with a smaller case. 6A is the same size as the 8A.

Well that would be interesting: a cheap or even not very cheap lettuce and charger that includes a bunch of extra stuff in the electronics. I don't think I've actually ever seen very many products for lead acid that have dissociation whether it's a standalone module or an included feature.

whatever. I'd like to see an under $50 (provide your own power supply perhaps) board that allows you to program whatever charge profile you want. current limits, CC/CV point, desulfation pulse for lead acid, etc.
doesn't seem like too much to ask the chinese companies that crank out crap to sell online.

regarding those adjustable chargers- you can get a meanwell version of that for cheaper on amazon. adjustable voltage and current limited.
I also like the buck-boost unit that has an output of like 10-90dc and like 10a current. ~$30

Almost no one wants a bunch of expert settings like that, though, so it will never be made at scale and cheap.
